Information we collect
When you choose to submit an inquiry, we collect your name, phone number, email, state and ZIP code; estimated tax debt, tax agency, filing status, collection actions, income category, and selected notice number. We derive a referral assessment from your answers; this is not a determination of tax eligibility. We also collect submission time, landing page, referral and campaign identifiers, your consent record, and a submission identifier. With your form-recording permission, ActiveProspect TrustedForm records the form session, including page content, entries, interactions, IP address, browser/device data, and timing, to create a consent certificate. Recording may include an unfinished form. We send the certificate URL with a submitted referral to a receiving provider. Recording is disabled in previews and when a browser opt-out is active.
Our hosting provider may process technical logs such as IP address, browser, request time, and security events. Optional analytics and advertising tools run only after the cookie preference described below permits them. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, tax returns, account credentials, exact financial account information, or notice uploads.

We use information to process the requested referral, allow receiving tax resolution providers to contact you, document consent, operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, measure permitted marketing activity, and handle privacy requests. We disclose inquiry information to independent tax resolution providers and service providers supporting hosting, forms, communications, and consent records.
We may sell contact information, tax situation details and derived referral information, attribution data, and associated consent records to independent tax resolution providers. We do not sell privacy requests for marketing. We may receive compensation for inquiry referrals. This disclosure may constitute a sale of personal information under applicable privacy law. Advertising disclosures, if enabled, may constitute sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not intentionally collect or sell information about children under 16. This site is intended for adults age 18 or older. We do not offer financial incentives for providing information.
Cookies and consent tools
Essential browser storage remembers privacy preferences and session referral attribution. Optional analytics or advertising cookies require your choice through Cookie preferences. You can change that choice in the footer. TrustedForm starts only after you select the final checkbox covering the referral request and form recording, below the contact fields. It may capture information already visible in the form at that point, including if you then leave without submitting. It is used for consent verification, not as a substitute for optional advertising-cookie consent. Read ActiveProspect’s privacy policy.
Google Fonts supplies the website typography and may receive technical request data when fonts load. Netlify hosts the site and processes submitted forms. Google Analytics/Ads are optional integrations controlled by cookie preferences; ActiveProspect provides the consent recording described above. These services have separate privacy practices; we use them only as described here and in your choices.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to know or access information; request deletion, subject to exceptions; correct inaccurate information; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive information where applicable; and receive equal treatment for exercising rights. An authorized agent may submit a request subject to applicable verification and authorization requirements.
Use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to record a browser opt-out or contact us about information already submitted. We honor a browser Global Privacy Control signal by disabling optional tracking and preventing new referral submissions through this browser. Browser preferences alone cannot identify an earlier inquiry; use the privacy request form for a request tied to your information. We do not require account creation to make a request. You may also ask us to stop marketing contact or withdraw consent, separately from a sale/sharing opt-out. Privacy requests are not used to solicit services.
Verification and responses
We aim to confirm receipt of access, correction, and deletion requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, subject to lawful extensions with notice. Sale/sharing opt-outs are processed as soon as feasible, within applicable deadlines. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify access, correction, or deletion requests and prevent unauthorized disclosure. We will not ask for a full Social Security number. Opt-out requests do not require identity verification. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any lawful exceptions or appeal process that applies.
Retention and security
Retention criteria: retain inquiry and consent records as needed to fulfill the referral, document permission, meet legal and contract duties, and resolve disputes; retain suppression records as needed to honor opt-outs. Retention is limited to the relevant purpose and applicable legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards; no transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Sources, disclosures, and processing
Information comes directly from your entries, your browser and referral URL, technical hosting records, and enabled service providers. We disclose the inquiry categories described in the Notice at collection to independent tax resolution providers to seek a match and to contracted hosting, forms, and recordkeeping providers. Optional advertising identifiers may be disclosed to advertising platforms only when permitted by your choices. We accept inquiries to seek provider matches. No provider match or response time is guaranteed. This form does not grant unknown providers permission for automated, prerecorded, or AI-generated marketing calls. Hosting-related technical processing may occur when you browse the site.
We do not request Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, health information, or tax documents. We do not use voluntarily submitted sensitive information to infer characteristics. Do not send it. If practices change, the notice and any required limitation mechanism must be updated first.
State rights and requests
Where applicable, residents of other U.S. states may have access, correction, deletion, portability, sale/targeted-advertising opt-out, and appeal rights. Use the same request methods below. If a request is denied and an appeal right applies, reply asking for review; we will explain the outcome and available regulator complaint route. Applicability depends on the law and business thresholds, not simply the visitor’s ZIP code.
We do not respond separately to the older Do Not Track setting; Global Privacy Control is handled as described above. California residents may also request information about covered direct-marketing disclosures under applicable California law using our privacy contact.
Third parties and changes
Independent providers and linked websites have separate policies. A referral does not make us responsible for their services. We will update this policy when practices change and provide additional notice where required.
